About Our Middle School Tackle Program
Washington DC Youth Rugby participates in the Rugby Virginia middle-school tackle rugby league. Our coaches are certified by USA Rugby and have completed the Concussion in Sports Course by NFHS. We’re also very fortunate to welcome guest coaches from the Major League Rugby team, Old Glory DC.
Ages
Teams are grade-based, comprising of 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade.
Player benefits
No experience is necessary!
Boys and girls players will be taught the rules and nuances in a safe, holistic manner. In addition to sportsmanship and teamwork, players learn the importance of nutrition and physical fitness while having fun.
